Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Full Time Day/Night Shift

Job Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide essential support to residents in meeting their activities of daily living (ADLs) as outlined in their individual care plans. This role involves working in accordance with established policies and procedures in a safe and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence/catheter care, elimination/toileting needs, and skin care.
• Maintain the resident's environment and safety, promptly answering call lights and alarms, and ensuring cleanliness of the unit.
• Support the nutritional needs of residents, facilitating meal delivery, preparation, and feeding as per resident preferences.
• Implement rehabilitative and restorative needs, including range of motion exercises, ambulation, and the use of assistive devices.
• Report resident rights, refusals, and concerns to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner, and document all actions per protocol.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York State Nursing Assistant Certification.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or RQI only).
• One (1) year of previous Long Term Care (LTC) experience as a CNA.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Schedule

This position requires full-time availability for a variable schedule, including day and night shifts as needed, with every other weekend and holiday shifts required.
