Clinical Medical AssistantAtlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM) specializes in the treatment of infertility and other reproductive endocrinology disorders. As one of the largest centers in the metropolitan area treating infertility, for 25+ years ACRM has provided care in Advanced Reproductive Technologies (ART), including in-vitro fertilization (IVF), pre-genetic diagnosis (PGD), and egg recipiency.ACRM is looking for a full-time Clinical Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This position is an integral part of our team and vital to helping us create a smooth and personal experience for each of our patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate they are able to contribute to, engage, and work well in a close-knit team atmosphere. Every member of our staff plays a critical role in care operations and therefore must be able to assume ownership of their responsibilities. Applicant must be mature, self-directed, well organized, thorough, well spoken, and a quick learner. We're looking for someone with a warm, calm personality that presents professionally to our patients.This is a full time 40 hours a week position at the Sandy Springs office from approximately 7:00am - 3:30pm plus rotating weekend and holidays from 7:00 to approximately 12:00pm.ACRM offers competitive compensation, full line of benefits, PTO and 401K Retirement plan.Position OverviewThe Medical Assistant is responsible for providing support to clinical staff to ensure smooth flow of information, routine clinical procedural preparedness, set-up, continuity, and communication.Essential DutiesChecks and records vital signsAdministers injectionsPerforms blood draw proceduresAccurately labels blood/urine samplesEnsures proper amount of blood/urine is taken/obtainedProcesses labs and submits requisitionsEnters labs into the patient's EMR chartCalls patients with lab results and answers questions as neededAssists with nursing staff with call backsAssists in the performance of ultrasound scansAssists with clinical procedures and set-upEnter patient insurance information into systemSubmits patient prescription orders to pharmacySchedules appointmentsMaintains patient flow throughout the officeOpens, cleans, and closes exam rooms and bathroomsOrders supplies and stocking exam rooms and bathroomsCleans and sterilizes equipment and updates maintenance logLogs and scans consent forms and documentsPrints medical records as neededEnters, changes, and updates diagnosis codes when neededWorks on other related projects as neededProvides back up support to other areas as neededRequirementsHigh School DiplomaSome vocational training preferredMedical Assistant certification-recommended2 plus years' experience in Clinical Medical Assistant positionExcellent attendance and punctuality commitmentStrong organizational skillsEffective written and verbal communication skills with co-workers, management and patientsDemonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and individuallyAbility to change priorities and manage task deadlines effectivelyAbility to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent attention to detailAbility to function with minimal supervisionDemonstrated ability to consistently provide safe patient care and follow nursing policies, procedures and protocolsAbility to exercise appropriate judgment and strong problem-solving skillsDemonstrated excellent customer service and listening skillsMust be empathetic and care about peopleMust have working knowledge of basic computer applicationsDemonstrated professionalism, dedication to quality, and strong work ethicPhysical and Mental RequirementsAbility to stand for prolonged periods of timeManual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipmentAbility to easily move around a 25,000 square foot facilityAbility to lift 25 pounds without assistanceAbility to push, pull, bend, twist and gripPosition may float between Office locations.
