Position : Staff Accountant



Pay Range : $30 to $35 Per Hour



Reporting To : Controller



Work Type : On-site


POSITION SUMMARY:


The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reconciliations, and supporting the monthly close while ensuring compliance with GAAP.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• NetSuite or comparable ERP preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries.
• Post bank and credit card activity on a daily/weekly basis
• Complete bank, cash, credit-card, and balance-sheet transactions and assist with reconciliations
• Maintain prepaid, accrual, and fixed asset schedules.
• Support month-end close for assigned entities.
• Assist with revenue and accounts payable reconciliations.
• Research discrepancies and resolve reconciling items.
• Serve as a backup and support to the AP group as needed.
• Maintain organized workpapers and documentation.
• Partner with operations to resolve accounting issues.
• Support process improvements and special projects.
• Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel and use of hands and fingers to operate computer, telephone, and keyboard on a frequent basis (up to 75% of the time).
• Close vision requirements due to computer work.
• Light to moderate lifting may be required.
