Assistant Manager

As an Assistant Manager , you'll help lead the shift with energy and pride-supporting great service, strong operations, and a welcoming guest experience from the first hello to the final thank-you.

General Job Requirements

• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Ability to lead and direct staff in an effective, professional manner.
• Must meet company performance standards and expectations for the role.
• Must participate in all company training and orientations, and some training may require overnight travel.
• Must be able to work the assigned schedule and required hours.
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds and have the physical ability and stamina to perform management job functions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support the Restaurant Manager in running day-to-day operations and leading the shift.
• Coach team members on service, speed, accuracy, and cleanliness.
• Monitor performance, help solve issues quickly, and keep the restaurant running smoothly.
• Champion a positive, guest-first culture-ensuring every customer feels welcome.
• Help maintain accountability for standards, execution, and continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have open availability and be willing to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
• Must be service-driven with a strong focus on guest satisfaction
• Must be trustworthy, dependable, and able to handle cash and sensitive information responsibly
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have at least 3 years of restaurant or customer service leadership experience
• Must lead by example in a fast-paced, high-volume deli environment
• Must have strong communication skills and the ability to coach and motivate team members
• Must be able to manage day-to-day operations while maintaining quality standards and speed of service
• Must assist with scheduling, training, and performance feedback for hourly team members
• Must follow food safety, sanitation, and compliance procedures consistently
• Must be comfortable with inventory, ordering, and basic operational reporting
