Automotive Technician

Hawkins Automotive has been in business since 1946. Serving many of our return customers for years! We are a family run business that thrives in provides honest work to all of our customers. We are looking for someone to join our team! We are open 730am - 5pm Monday - Thursday and 730am - 430pm on Fridays. We are closed all major holidays with pay.
Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Technician, where your skills will shine in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in vehicle service and repair! You will play a crucial role in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate at peak performance. With your expertise, you’ll provide exceptional service to our customers.
What you’ll do
- Perform comprehensive automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Conduct alignment services and ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in automotive technology, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and schematics.
- Work can range from oil changes and tires to heavy line engine and transmission work, brakes, suspension, maintenance, diagnostic, and any other mechanical work needed.
- Tools are supplied by technician. Our shop does have some specialty tools that are shared between techs.
- There are 10 service bays where each tech has 2 bays with a hoist to work in.
- Techs are required to keep a clean work area and finish cars in a professional and timely manner.
Basic qualifications
- Technical training is preferred but not required if there is sufficient work experience.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair.
