SUMMARY The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Duties include parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, assisting guests with luggage, delivering and picking up luggage where applicable, and managing vehicle retrieval processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. Enter location and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor; use guest last names during interactions. Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location; practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette; post up in designated areas when not completing tasks. Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area; delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to appropriate approved places. Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival; issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests before returning keys. Consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt for all vehicles; records revenue for vehicles when needed. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance. One month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Ability to read and write standard English; comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence. Ability to present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients and employees. Basic math skills: add and subtract three‑digit numbers and multiply/divide with tens and hundreds; use units of American money. Understand 24‑hour and military time systems; understand applicable rates; understand parking rates and revenue calculations. Operate a manual transmission highly desirable; perform parallel parking. SCOPE Job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with direction and work is verified frequently. Decisions made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS Regularly required to talk or hear; sit or stand for extended periods; may run, walk, handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral and depth vision and ability to adjust focus. Lifting: up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds constantly.
