A dedicated Registered Nurse is needed to support a preschool student requiring 1:1 care due to a tracheostomy. This contract position spans the school year, starting as soon as possible and running through May 2026.Your skills will ensure the well-being and safety of the student throughout each school day. You'll work closely with school staff and the student's family to develop a consistent routine and immediate intervention strategies as needed.Qualifications:Current, active Arizona RN license requiredValid IVP Fingerprint Card, meeting all state compliance standardsCurrent CPR/BLS certificationPrior experience as a school nurse or working with pediatric tracheostomy careCompassion, patience, and exceptional communication skillsKey Responsibilities:Provide direct 1:1 care to a preschool-aged student with a tracheostomy, attending to trach aspiration and monitoring throughout the school daySupport student needs, including assistance with toileting (student is not toilet trained)Document interventions in accordance with school policiesCollaborate with educational and healthcare staff to ensure a seamless approach to careRespond promptly and effectively to medical emergenciesAdapt to a varied school schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 11:13 AM 2:44 PMEvery other Wednesday (on a rotating basis): 7:15 AM 12:17 PMIt's a chance to support a student's success and well-being in a rewarding, school-centered setting.
