Job TitleRegistered Dental AssistantJob DescriptionThe Staff Pad has partnered with a leading non-profit healthcare organization Southern California to hire dependable Registered Dental Assistants (RDAs) to support exceptional patient care across multiple Company sites by assisting dentists and addressing patient needs and concerns. In this role you will be responsible for preparing patients for treatment, assisting with restorative dentistry and oral surgery procedures, preparing materials and equipment, taking X-rays, assisting with laboratory work and providing administrative, operational clinical support (scheduling appointments, answering phones, ordering supplies, and processing dental billing) as needed.Schedule (Floater position): Full-Time | Part-Time | Saturday availability requiredWhat You'll DoDeliver an exceptional patient experience & address patient concernsPass instruments & materials to the dentist during procedures and maintain a clear treatment field using suction & other devicesMaintain a clean, sterile treatment environment & disinfect operatories per ADA guidelinesObtain, review & update patient dental & health histories including care slipsEscort patients throughout the visit & maintain a professional appearance and demeanorPrepare procedure trays, maintain operatory supplies, sterilize & disinfect instruments and equipmentTake adult and pediatric X-rays & prepare impression and restoration materialsEducate patients on postoperative care and demonstrate oral hygiene techniquesComplete required dental equipment logs in compliance with audit requirementsPerform monthly checks of the emergency medical kit and adult and pediatric oxygen equipmentMaintain inventory and order dental suppliesPerform pediatric prophylaxis and apply fluoride treatmentsDocument patient charts & doctor notes and ensure treatment records, consents, health histories are completed and signed by the doctorEnsure compliance with State Dental Auxiliary regulations, all applicable regulatory and Company policiesEnter prescriptions and patient information into the EHRAttend required meetings, trainings, and work-related eventsPerform other duties as assignedAdditional Responsibilities:Support team initiatives, communication, goals, and process improvementsUphold the organization's Mission, Vision, Values, and policiesPerform additional grant-funded responsibilities, if applicableWhat We Are Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED preferred; Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) licenseOne year of Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) experience; Current CPR certificationKnowledge of medical technologyBilingual in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking)Reliable transportation and ability to travel as neededFlexibility to work evenings and weekends for community eventsStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAnalytical and problem-solving abilities; Ability to maintain visual acuity and focusProficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications; EHR experience preferredOccasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbsAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and adapt to office procedures and policiesWhat You Can Expect:Competitive compensation packageHealth, Dental & Vision coverageIf you are a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant who thrives in a collaborative, patient-focused environment, we encourage you to apply.
