Opportunity:

Physician - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide gastroenterology coverage with ongoing contract length


• Work schedule includes 8 hours per day Monday through Friday (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) plus weeknight beeper call


• Handle 24-hour call coverage Saturday and Sunday (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM)


• Perform scheduled procedures 4.5 hours per day in the morning (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and occasional Monday from 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM)


• Complete 4 hours of office time for clinic visits occasionally


• Provide inpatient care in the afternoon


• Treat adult patient population (18+ years old)


• Perform approximately 4-5 scheduled procedures per day with additional afternoon add-ons


• See office patients every 40 minutes for half the day when in clinic


• Round on hospital consults in the afternoon and complete procedures from consults


• Respond to ER consults and round on those patients


• Work with EPIC electronic medical records system


• Board certification required (BC or BE in Gastroenterology)


• Minimum 1 year of experience required


• PA medical license and DEA registration required

The facility provides full gastroenterology services including inpatient consultations, outpatient procedures, and emergency consultations. The organization maintains modern equipment and support staff including anesthesia services on-site and physician assistant support during daytime hours. The facility utilizes advanced electronic medical records and provides 24/7 IT and provider service line support.
