Lead Security Officer

Job Summary The Branch Security Officer ensures the safety and security of all EdFed Locations, assets, staff, members and visitors. The Lead Branch Security Officer responsibilities include creating security officer schedules, performing routine security duties on tour or at a fixed post, monitoring suspicious behavior, enforcing company policy and testing systems. Duties / Responsibilities Take lead role to ensure the team’s time is used wisely by creating and administering shift schedules for the security team. Coordinate replacement officers for callouts. Train all new hires on safety, security and robbery procedures. Check all fire suppression equipment for routine maintenance. Document and monitor all visitor and vendor entries and exits to the building. Perform routine tests on all panic and burglar alarms. Maintain a physical security presence for the entire branch location. Respond to security alarms and conduct branch damage checks following active storms. Report all areas where damage and physical debris may cause accidents. Verify successful operation of dye pack transmitters, panic buttons and bait traps. Report all light fixtures that are not illuminated. Respond and assist management team with irate members and visitors. Fill in as front‑desk concierge when the branch needs assistance. Lead the staff in after‑robbery procedures. Open and close branches daily. Stand on the overlap post to provide security for employee arrivals and departures during opening and closing hours. Tour the parking facilities 2‑3 times a day, ensuring that customer parking is used only by customers during office hours. Report all accidents to the security manager. Maintain robbery bag supplies. Perform additional duties assigned by the Management Team. Required Skills and Abilities Written and verbal communication. Following complex instructions. Interpersonal skills. Job Type Full‑time Experience Level Required minimum 2 years of armed security experience. Schedule 10‑12 hour shift. Monday to Friday. Weekend availability.
