Description Specialization: Neurosurgery Job Summary: Methodist Healthcare System is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing and highly respected Neurosurgery Program at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak, one of San Antonio's premier acute care hospitals. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of neurosurgeons providing comprehensive care for patients with spinal disorders, cranial conditions, trauma, and other complex neurological conditions. Position Highlights Employed position with Methodist Healthcare System Join a well-established and growing neurosurgical practice Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities First assist opportunities available based on experience and credentialing Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons, hospitalists, nursing staff, and ancillary providers State-of-the-art facilities and technology Strong administrative and clinical support Responsibilities Evaluate and manage neurosurgical patients in clinic, hospital, and perioperative settings Conduct patient histories, physical examinations, and follow-up visits Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient management Provide patient education regarding surgical procedures, recovery, and care plans Order and interpret diagnostic testing and imaging studies Participate in hospital rounds and consultations Document patient encounters utilizing electronic medical records Qualified Candidates Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Current Texas licensure or eligibility for Texas licensure Board Certified NP or PA Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Spine, Neurology, Surgical, or Critical Care experience preferred New graduates with relevant clinical rotations and strong interest in Neurosurgery may be considered Excellent communication and team-oriented skills Recruitment Package Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits package Medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement savings plan with employer contribution Paid time off and CME allowance Malpractice coverage About Methodist Hospital Stone Oak Methodist Hospital Stone Oak is a full-service acute care hospital recognized for its commitment to clinical excellence and outstanding patient outcomes.
