Location Abraxas Academy, 1000 Academy Dr., Morgantown, PA 19543 Position Clinical Therapist / Clinician – Master’s Level (Full‑time) Compensation & Employment Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 annually. Job Type: Full‑time. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Minimum age of 21 years. Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related discipline. At least one year of clinical experience. Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle insurance. Successful completion of required background checks and clearances (Act 33 &34, state child services, FBI if applicable). Pass a non‑communicable disease physical examination. Proficiency with computers and the departmental software. Responsibilities Provide individual, family, and group therapy in a trauma‑focused residential treatment setting for male youth. Training and supervision are provided in several trauma intervention models. Provides clinical services to assigned clients according to licensing agency guidelines and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Coordinates inter‑service interfaces with educational, medical, community services, family services, and the training department. Performs individual and group therapy under the direction of the clinical supervisor. Documents treatment plans and writes monthly reports on client behavior, attitude, achievement, education, and overall progress. Analyzes and interprets client records, behavior, progress, and treatment plans relative to treatment services. Conducts client file reviews in a timely manner to ensure regulatory compliance. Supervises staff, assists with hiring, evaluates performance, establishes measurable objectives, and implements corrective actions in accordance with human‑resources policies. Collaborates with judges, probation officers, police, social service agencies, and community groups to interpret facility goals and develop cooperative relationships. Ensures programming and services meet the needs of clients exhibiting delinquent behaviors such as substance‑use or abuse issues. Participates in Multi‑Disciplinary Treatment team meetings (MDTs) regarding client behavior, diagnosis, and progress. Works closely with school staff to achieve overall treatment goals and educational outcomes. Conducts in‑service training and clinical consultations to assist with regulatory compliance. Serves as liaison with external contacts such as probation officers, family members, and other stakeholders. Interprets programmatic treatment needs for staff and aids in providing and implementing integrated services. Assumes responsibility for client follow‑up, group therapy sessions, family therapy services, and related duties. Assumes supervisory role during a supervisor’s absence based on program/facility requirements and licensure. Assists in developing and implementing the clinical program, including individual/group counseling and daily programmatic activities. Ensures all documentation is completed promptly and meets regulatory compliance. Represents the program or facility at judicial hearings. Ensures that goals and objectives from clients’ individualized treatment plans are addressed; modifies plans as needed. Assists in maintaining the safety and security of the program or facility. Works closely with the clinical director, case managers, treatment supervisors, senior treatment supervisors, and education department to ensure youth involved in the work program fulfill restitution, court costs, and fines obligations. Participates in team development, directs and supports employees, and provides feedback and mentoring. Role‑models and teaches effective supervision and management of clients, observes client behavior, and intervenes appropriately. Maintains confidentiality of client information. Implements and mentors employees regarding Youth Services policies, professional expectations, code of conduct, and related practices and procedures.
