Vehicle Acquisition Specialist

- Market Analysis: Use provided software to analyze market conditions and trends related to pre-owned vehicles.
- Vehicle Evaluation: Review vehicle condition reports to assess their overall state.
- Pricing Strategy: Determine wholesale and retail prices based on market value and vehicle condition.
- Acquisition Process: Work closely with Used Car Managers and the Service Department to purchase vehicles for the dealership.
- Customer Interaction: Talk to customers and offer a hands-on, hassle-free appraisal of their vehicle.
- Logistics: Handle shipping vehicles to the dealership.
- Inspection and Acceptance: Inspect and accept vehicles arriving on-site, resolving discrepancies regarding condition inspections.
- Reconditioning: Create and execute a reconditioning action plan to prepare vehicles for retail.
The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist ensures a smooth process from sourcing vehicles to getting them ready for sale
Requirements:
Vehicle Acquisition Specialist will need a combination of skills, qualifications, and personal attributes. Here are the key requirements:
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Self-Motivation: As a specialist, you should be extremely self-motivated, setting and achieving targeted goals.
- Customer Experience: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to drive an exceptional customer experience are crucial.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrated communication and prospecting abilities are essential.
- Organization: Excellent organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Technology: Experience with technology and a desire to work with it can be beneficial.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive retail operations.
- Clean driving record, California sales license and the ability to pass a background screening
