Physical Therapist

Purpose:

Evaluate patients, develop plan of care and provide treatment within the guidelines of physician referrals, participate in efficient, cost-effective planning and operation of the Physical Therapy Department.

Responsibilities:

• Assesses patients' functional status as it relates to reason for referral.

• Plans and delivers treatment based on findings of initial assessment.

• Provides patient education to promote knowledge and skills needed to meet patients' healthcare needs.

• Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants, Aides, Volunteers and Students.

• Complies with all documentation guidelines per professional requirements, Joint Commission of Accreditation for Hospital Organizations' standards and Medicare standards.

Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy, or equivalent.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

Two (2) years experience in Physical Therapy practice preferred, but new graduates are acceptable. Ohio State license required. Employee may also be required to obtain a West Virginia/Pennsylvania license. BLS provider or obtain within 3 months of hire.
