RN NICU Nights Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-WaxahachieResponsible for the care and treatment of newborn infants suffering from illness or prematurity, as well as caring for their parents and guardians. Provide round-the-clock care for the basic and medical needs of newborn infants in the NICU. Assist the NICU physicians in medical procedures and treatments.Unit Specifics: We are a 5 bed NICU with 6 bed capability. Level 2 NICU currently. RN to infant ratio is generally between 1-3 babies/RN. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses.What You'll Do You, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes. Building relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families. Creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues. You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
