Avionics Systems Engineer

Salary: $86,000 - 126,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for candidates with 0 to 3 years of experience at the entry level, 4 to 7 years at the mid level, or 7 to 10 years at the senior level.
• We need someone who can develop code on Linux and Windows systems.
• We require proficiency in C, C++, or C#.
• Familiarity with FORTRAN or Ada is a plus.
• Experience with scripting tools such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is preferred.
• We expect competency with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• We are looking for strong technical understanding with at least one area of specialization.

• We require a bachelors or masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience plus three years in related aircraft or flight simulation systems.

• We assign this role to one or more systems that replicate the avionics and aircraft systems of simulated land, sea, or air vehicles.
• We expect the engineer to apply engineering principles to research, analyze, plan, design, develop, code, implement, and test aircraft electrical, computer, data network, and related systems.
• We need the role to review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, design reviews, change proposals, and other documentation.
• We rely on this position to contribute to simulation code development, systems integration, design, configuration management, quality assurance testing, and resource management.
• The engineer will serve as a team member on assigned projects, helping develop engineering procedures and controls, manage project effort, and support problem resolution.
• We expect the role to interface with other engineers, contractors, vendors, and government representatives on technical program and project matters.
• The engineer will communicate ongoing activities and results clearly and positively to engineers, customers, stakeholders, and management.
• We require the ability to read, write, and maintain new and existing software.
• The role will follow established company and industry processes and procedures.
