Hiring Facilities Maintenance Technician - Full Time | Residential Complex (108 Units)

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll perform day-to-day building maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and complete preventive tasks across the property. Workload varies - some days are fast-paced, others slower - and you'll collaborate closely with a facilities helper and a small team to ensure the community stays in excellent condition. You'll take ownership of your work orders, interact professionally with tenants, and help maintain a safe, comfortable living environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, HVAC maintenance, carpentry, drywall, and painting

• Diagnose issues and determine whether repairs should be completed in-house or escalated to external contractors

• Respond promptly and professionally to resident and staff service requests

• Complete preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and common areas

• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning property by addressing issues proactively

• Work alongside a facilities helper, offering guidance and ensuring efficient task completion

• Present a professional, tenant-friendly appearance at all times

• Lift and move heavy appliances or equipment when needed

• Take ownership of assigned work orders and follow through until resolution

Skills/Qualifications:

• 3+ years of residential facilities maintenance experience

• Hands-on experience with basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting

• Ability to perform carpentry, drywall, and painting to a professional standard

• Strong problem-solving skills for building and facilities issues

• Preventive maintenance experience

• Reliable work history demonstrating consistency and accountability

• Professional demeanor when interacting with tenants

• Ability to lift and move heavy appliances

• Comfortable working independently and within a small team

• Monday-Friday, first shift with flexible scheduling

• Occasional on-call responsibilities, with in-person response required only for true emergencies (rare)

• Casual dress code; PPE generally not required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broomfield, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
