Tire Technician

Tire TechnicianThe Tire Technician performs routine tire support duties for the Anchorage CTS equipment fleet. These duties may also include some occasional basic maintenance while under the supervision of an experienced mechanic.Essential Duties:Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and proceduresOrganize tire storage/inventoryNotifies the Shop Manager and Parts Manager of tire inventory levelsRemove, install, and repair tiresDismount, mount, tires to wheels/rimsConforms to all manufacturer and industry standards in regards to tire installation, maintenance and repairKeep work area clean and adhere to housekeeping protocolsOther duties as assignedQualifications:Education, Experience, and CertificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalent1 to 2 years of tire installation and repair experienceBasic understanding of equipment/truck/trailer design and functionalityValid AK driver's licenseBenefits: We're committed to taking care of you and your family, today and in the future. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. In addition to using computerized diagnostic equipment, mechanics use a variety of power and machine tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, grinding machines, and welding equipment. Hand tools, including pliers, socket and ratchets, and screwdrivers, are also commonly used.
