In this role, you'll support key business operations such as accounting, pricing, fuel management, and data processing for leading convenience retail and petroleum companies.You'll work with experienced professionals, learn industry systems, and gain hands-on experience with real business data. This is a great opportunity to develop foundational skills in finance, operations, and technology while contributing to solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency, and overall business performance.If you're detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in how businesses operate behind the scenes, this role offers a strong starting point for long-term career growth.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and record business transactions for assigned accounts, including A/P and A/R functions routine accounting activitiesPerform general ledger activities such as journal entries for accruals or expense account reclassificationsInterface with store managers and personnel to ensure efficient store processing, providing timely and accurate data, preparing statements and basic financial reportsGenerate and reviews customer financial statements, posts journal entries, and reconciles accounts (including period close process) including billing, bank statements, and credit card settlementsReview and analyze monthly operating results for accuracy and reasonableness, providing recommendations when opportunities for improvement are presentedFollow up on accounting/system issues that affect accounts to ensure proper reporting of financial dataDevelop and maintain financial reporting and tracking toolsQualificationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate Excel skillsExcellent customer service skillsConvenience store or retail experience is a plusApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
