Our differentiated battle management and cyber solutions deliver timely, mission-enabling information and provide superior situational awareness and understanding to protect the U.S. and its global allies.We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal or Sr Principal Electronics Engineer based out of Baltimore, MD with occasional travel to Palmdale, CA (approximately 25-30%).What You'll get to Do:Be responsible for providing technical assistance with the installation and test support of a phase array sensor system on a platform. As the system knowledge expert, you will be working on an MS team and using sophisticated supported equipment with other engineers to provide the prime contractor with knowledge and assist with system operation. Other duties include mission support, providing monitoring and operational guidance.Roles & Responsibilities:Conduct post-installation, shop floor system testing in coordination with other platform systemsConduct pre-mission system test supportCollect, evaluate and report on test resultsTroubleshoot system and test-set electrical, electronic and test software Recommending corrective action for system repairsDevise equipment design and procedural changes to improve safety and efficiencyProvide direction/oversight during the conduct of work performed by repair techniciansSupport operational missionsProvide support at other field sites and test facilitiesSupport various customer meetings at customer locationsPeriodic shift work may be required based on operational needsThis position may be filled as a Principal Electronics Engineer or Sr Principal Electronics Engineer.Basic Qualifications for a Principal Electronics Engineer :Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experienceExperience with any one or more of the following backgrounds: airborne AESA radar/communications systems, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or System EngineeringStrong understanding of Systems Engineering concepts, including requirements analysis and verification planning and executionKnowledge and experience with RF Hardware and test equipmentMust be willing to work on an occasional rotating schedule, as needed; including periodic shift work and weekend work may be required to meet the needs of our customerMust be willing to support occasional travel up to 25-30%, both CONUS (continental U.S.) and OCONUS (outside the continental U.S.)US Citizenship and current/active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI Clearance required. Must have the ability to obtain/maintain SAP clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Experience as Technical lead, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business functionExperience troubleshooting and resolving complex HW/SW integration problemsExperience in integration and test techniques, MATLAB, or related signal analysis tools; interfacing protocols, test equipment, and customer interactionExperience with RF and radar technologiesPrimary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
