Overview The Guest Service Associate provides exceptional hospitality services to guests, including vehicle valet, luggage handling, and information support. The role ensures smooth arrivals and departures and fosters a welcoming environment at Towne Park. Job Details Compensation: $17.81 per hour plus tips, with a $1 shift differential for overnight shifts. Work Schedule: PM shift, Monday through Sunday. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible. Responsibilities Maintains pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co‑workers, and clients; acknowledges and greets guests within five feet. Uses guest last names, salutations of the day, and proper phone etiquette; posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks. Parks and retrieves vehicles, driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed; opens vehicle and hotel doors. Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions; delivers messages, items, and guest amenities. Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures; issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys; completes ticket information (key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, claim check receipt). Calculates and collects revenue when required. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED. Licensure: Valid driver’s license for the state of employment. Experience: One month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of customer and personal service principles. Ability to read, write, and comprehend English; effective communication in one‑to‑one and small‑group settings. Basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using U.S. money; understanding of time and rates. Proficiency with a manual transmission and parallel parking. Working Conditions & Physical Demands The role requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 100 pounds). Employees may need to run, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl. Working outdoors is common, with exposure to extreme heat and cold. Meetings, telephone calls, and customer interactions are regular; the job may involve handling sensitive information that must be confidential.
