Position Overview We are seeking a Principal-level DNS Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead mission‑critical network operations in a highly secure environment. This is a Key Personnel role requiring deep, hands‑on expertise in DNS architecture, BGP routing, and cloud networking integration. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance (with SCI eligibility) and is located in Maryland, requiring on‑site work a minimum of 3 days per week. Day‑To‑Day Duties and Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Serve as the primary technical authority for enterprise DNS architecture, engineering, and mission‑critical network operations. Network Engineering: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot complex BGP routing and broader network infrastructure in highly secure, classified environments. Cloud Integration: Lead the design and secure management of cloud networking architectures (AWS, Azure, or hybrid) and their integration with on‑premise classified networks. High Availability Operations: Ensure the absolute resiliency, zero‑downtime availability, and security of core network services and critical infrastructure. Incident Response: Act as the ultimate technical escalation point for diagnosing and resolving severe network outages, DNS failures, or routing anomalies. Minimum Qualifications Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance, with the eligibility to obtain and hold SCI access. Location: Must be local to Maryland with the ability to work on‑site a minimum of 3 days per week. Extensive professional experience managing network operations in secure, classified environments. Deep, hands‑on engineering expertise in enterprise DNS architecture, implementation, and management. Expert‑level knowledge of core networking protocols, specifically BGP routing and large‑scale infrastructure operations. Proven hands‑on experience designing and supporting cloud networking environments. Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure while supporting mission‑critical, zero‑downtime operations. Preferred Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance (with or without polygraph). Expert‑level networking certifications (e.g., CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent). Advanced cloud networking certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty). Previous experience operating within Fort Meade or similar high‑security Intelligence Community (IC) environments. Why Join Us?
