Oakbrook Corporation is seeking an experienced Property Manager to lead operations at Berkshire Kensington, a beautifully renovated 177-unit active adult (55+) community. As Property Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the community remains a place residents are proud to call home while driving occupancy, financial performance, and resident satisfaction.What You'll DoAs the Property Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of daily operations, including:Provide outstanding customer service to residents, prospective residents, team members, and vendorsLead, supervise, train, and motivate on-site staffBuild strong relationships with residents and foster a positive community cultureMonitor operating budgets, capital expenditures, and property performancePrepare monthly reports, lease summaries, and operational analysesReview leases and ensure accurate resident file managementCoordinate move-ins, move-outs, unit turns, and resident retention effortsManage rent collections and delinquency proceduresDrive occupancy goals through leasing and marketing initiativesEnsure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policiesManage investor, state agency, and property inspectionsRespond to after-hours emergencies when necessaryMaintain compliance with Affordable Housing programsProcess move-ins and recertifications, including income and asset verificationsDemonstrate and uphold Oakbrook's core valuesQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrevious supervisory experienceResidential property management experience requiredAffordable Housing experience preferredStrong leadership, communication, and customer service skillsExperience with property management softwareExcellent organizational and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to conduct regular property inspections, with or without accommodationValid driver's license requiredWhat Makes You SuccessfulWe're looking for a leader who:Has a proven track record of success in multifamily property managementThrives in a resident-focused environmentBalances operational excellence with exceptional customer serviceTakes initiative and proactively solves problemsCommunicates effectively with residents, team members, and vendorsLeads with professionalism, accountability, and integrityEnjoys creating a welcoming and engaging community atmosphereWhy Join Oakbrook Corporation?At Oakbrook, we believe great communities start with great people.
