Job Title

Travel RN – Med-Surg Float Pool

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Projected Start: 08/17/2026 | Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a Med-Surg Float Pool setting at a large academic medical facility
• Float to various medical-surgical units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Document patient information accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New York State
• Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital (candidates with 1 year of experience must pass a competency test)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates with 1 year of experience must complete a competency assessment within 24 hours of submission
• Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of experience in a Med-Surg float pool role at a large academic medical center
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly across multiple units and patient populations
