Medical Assistant

MyDoc Women's Health Specialists

Job Description

MyDoc Women’s Health Specialists is looking for a MEDICAL ASSISTANT to join our growing team.

Qualified candidates are great with dealing with people, experienced with medical environment, able to maintain confidential patient records and have great time management skills. Candidates must be comfortable working on general PC office computer programs.

Day to day responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Provide exceptional and attentive care to patients.

Assist the providers during examinations and procedures/treatments.

Prepare for gynecologic procedures.

Room patients, take histories, record in the electronic medical records.

Check that lab results, culture results, etc. are in the chart.

Handle/process specimens and send specimens to the laboratory with necessary, accurate paperwork.

Educate patient in preparation for procedures and post-op care as required.

Respond to phone calls for test results, medication refills, post-operative care, etc.

Ensure all equipment is in working order.

Sterilize medical instruments/clean equipment.

Stock and clean exam rooms.

Back office stocking and inventory.

Other duties as assigned.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Medical assistant experience required, OBGYN preferred, not required

Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations

Experience with an EMR/EHR system

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

High school diploma required

Minimum 2 years experience in medical office or other related fields
