The ideal candidate would perform high-throughput screening experiments involving various therapeutic targets in support of drug discovery. Lab responsibilities include assay execution, reagent preparation, and cross-functional group support if needed to support the Screening Group.Associate Scientist Duties Include but are not Limited to the Following:Executes 384-well microplate biochemical assay measuring interactions between small molecules and various target proteinsUtilizes liquid handling equipment such as ECHO, plate washers, V-preps, BRAVO, WELLJET and other liquid handling equipment to accommodate high-throughput screening operationsPrepares reagents, performs reagent QC, and chemistry-related calculations as neededMaintain consumables as neededFollow all SOPs as defined and communicated Participation in and presentation at group laboratory meetingsPerform other duties as required and assignedConducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner. Adheres to site employee health and safety (EHS) requirementsDemonstrates and promotes the company visionPerforms other duties as assignedOwns the accountability and responsibility of delivering to client needs and timelinessAdjusts work hours as needed to meet deadlinesQualificationsBasic Minimum Education Qualifications:B.S. in biological or physical sciencesBasic Minimum Work Requirements:Minimum 0-2 years of relevant industry experience in a laboratory settingAbility to read and interpret documents, such as standard operating procedures and technical reportsAbility to perform analyses and data interpretationAbility to multitask with organization and manage time effectivelyAbility to solve practical problems and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work in a laboratory setting, according to the physical requirements of a laboratory roleLab equipment and office computer/software proficiencyAbove average oral and written communication skillsDemonstrates a positive attitude and capacity for team environmentAbility to troubleshoot and conduct small projects with minimal supervisionAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.Additional InformationPosition is full-time working Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, and additional hours as needed.
