IT Technician

Piper Companies is seeking an IT Technician to support a leading technology infrastructure organization. The IT Technician will assist with onsite hardware support, vendor escorting, equipment transportation, and IT room operations. This IT Technician role is ideal for a dependable individual who enjoys hands-on technical work in a fast-paced environment. The IT Technician is a 6 month contract opportunity and requires you to work onsite 5 days per week in Clayton, NC. Responsibilities of the IT Technician: Escort vendors and suppliers to secure IT rooms and monitor onsite activities. Pick up, deliver, and transport IT equipment between warehouses, trailers, and job sites. Install, replace, and support hardware within IT rooms and related environments. Maintain equipment inventory and document hardware movements. Follow site security procedures and support ongoing infrastructure projects. Requirements of the IT Technician: Experience with IT hardware support, installation, or deployment preferred. Ability to lift and move IT equipment safely. Strong communication and organizational skills. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between local sites. Ability to work independently and adhere to security protocols. Compensation for the IT Technician: $55,000 - $100,000 based on experience Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
