Controls Engineer

Job Overview: Pay Range $60hr - $65hr Requirement/Must Have: Strong PLC programming/troubleshooting (ToyoPuc, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley) + 4 years. Comprehensive knowledge of PLCs + 6 years. Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical circuits and Industrial controls + 4 years. 2-year technical degree or completion of trade school program (EET or Industrial Maintenance Technology) and/or equivalent work experience. Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings. Proficiency with MS Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, TEAMs. Responsibilities: Review equipment specifications and design, identify improvements, conduct vendor buyoffs to confirm equipment functions. Install equipment, verify safety, quality, and productivity of equipment. Investigate to determine modification requirements. Implement modifications. Trial and adjust. Lower cost and decrease project time by overseeing installation by vendor and facilitating kanban process. Improve equipment quality and productivity by implementing adjustments, as identified during online vehicle trials. Install, set-up, and troubleshoot ToyoPuc and Allen-Bradley program controllers. Provide training to Maintenance members on newly implemented equipment. Share Subject Matter Expert knowledge to local NAMC Maintenance and Production Members. Travel up to 20% at times. Engage in travel to U.S., Canada and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as foreign travel including Japan, Canada, Mexico. Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays. Nice to Have: 4+ years Industrial maintenance experience. Knowledge of Industrial Robot programming and teaching. Knowledge of AGVs/AMRs programming and set up. Knowledge of safety scanners and programming. Knowledge of various industrial controls networking, EthernetIP, FLNet, ProfiNet, etc. Automotive manufacturing experience. Knowledge in Client Machinery Standards (NA-AMS, G-AMS, Machinery Risk Assessment, etc). OSHA 10 certification.
