Posting Details Position Information Job Title Graphic Designer Job Description The Graphic Designer is a member of the Institutional Advancement team and assists with the creation and delivery of pre-press graphic design services for college print and electronic publications. The Graphic Designer also provides support for special projects and events as directed by the Associate Vice President of Advancement. Job Duties
- Perform graphic design, page layout and related duties as assigned.
- Coordinate development of project layout and design with other team members.
- Assist in the creation of all marketing, creative, communications and digital campaigns.
- Assist with the creation of general marketing and public relations materials.
- Transform rough ideas and general concepts into actions, projects and completed products.
- Assist web services with graphic support as requested.
- Ensure that all projects and campaigns meet brand standards and that materials are consistent.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Maintain an accurate and complete archival system.
- Participate in the departmental planning and achievement of college institutional commitments.
- Evaluate current status of industry and the market to ensure delivery of relevant and useful projects, messages or branding.
- Represent the Institutional Advancement department with courtesy, respect and commitment to excellent customer service.
- Assist with special events as assigned.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with college personnel, students and the community.
- Process telephone calls internally and externally in an effective and timely manner.
- Upgrade skills level and performance through professional development.
- Demonstrate exceptional adherence to work schedules and office hours and be available lo work a flexible work schedule as needed.
- Adhere to all College policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President of Institutional Advancement.
- M1) Associate degree in a related field or 5 years of equivalent experience.
- M2) Skilled in all Creative Suite design software.
- M3) Demonstrated page layout and design skills.
- M4) Able to format print-ready files for consumer and trade pub ads, outdoor, posters, newspaper, catalog, and annual reports.
- M5) Familiarity with the Windows operating system and ability to work in a networked environment.
- M6) Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- M7) Portfolio review.
- M8) Photography skills.
- D1) Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 10 years of equivalent experience.
- D2) Brand campaign concept and development experience.
- D3) Experience in Web-based graphic design.
- D4) Prior work experience in marketing or advertising.
