You will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, all focused on improving patient outcomes. Our facility is equipped with the latest technology and treatment modalities, allowing us to implement the most effective rehabilitation strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist licensed Physical Therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patient mobility and strength.Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, ensuring correct techniques and safety measures are applied to promote physical wellness.Educate patients on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics to facilitate ongoing recovery and independence.Administer various therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist.Document patient progress, including improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional abilities, to keep the treatment plan up-to-date.Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, preparing treatment areas and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available for therapy sessions.Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for coordinated patient care, sharing insights and progress to optimize treatment outcomes.Provide emotional support to patients, encouraging them throughout their rehabilitation journey to foster a positive therapeutic relationship.Adhere to all professional and ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respect for their rights throughout the care process.Patient Population / Client FocusAt Pro Therapy Services, you will work with a diverse patient population spanning various age groups and physical challenges. From young athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly patients undergoing rehabilitation after joint replacement surgeries, your role is crucial in helping them regain mobility and improve their quality of life through compassionate and personalized care.QualificationsA minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Jersey.Strong foundational knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions.Proficient in employing various therapeutic exercises and modalities in coordination with Physical Therapists.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering rapport and teamwork among patients and healthcare professionals alike.Passionate about patient-centered care, with a commitment to helping individuals reach their rehabilitation goals.Flexibility in adapting treatment approaches for various patient demographics and needs.Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and time management abilities.Willingness to engage in ongoing professional education, staying informed of the latest developments in physical therapy practice.Preferred ExperiencePrior experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a rehabilitation setting is preferred.Experience working with specific populations, such as pediatrics or geriatrics, is highly regarded.Compensation and BenefitsThe salary for this position ranges from USD 50,000 to 65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
