Travel Physical Therapist – Peridot, Arizona Fusion Medical Staffing – Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Peridot, Arizona, starting ASAP. Work consists of 8‑hour shifts, 40 hours per week. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience in physical therapy (new graduates are welcome). Other certifications or licenses may be required. Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life across hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers. You will create personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development to stay current with best practices. Collaborate in discharge planning for smooth transitions and continued progress. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English. Basic computer skills. Physical Abilities Remain in stationary or moving positions, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal Skills Work effectively with a variety of personnel, presenting a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical / Motor Skills Grasp fine manipulation, perform push/pull, and move equipment during procedures. Mental Requirements Cope with frequent public contact and meet deadlines under pressure.
