Essential Responsibilities

Personal Care & Daily Living Assistance

• Assist clients with personal hygiene and grooming
• Provide assistance with dressing and shaving
• Support ambulation, mobility, and transfers
• Prepare meals and snacks according to care plans
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties
• Provide companionship and emotional support

Client-Specific Care

Following training and delegation by a Right at Home nurse, responsibilities may include:

• Medication reminders
• Hospice supportive care
• Assisting with prescribed range-of-motion exercises
• Blood glucose monitoring assistance
• Care for bed-bound clients
• Incontinence care
• Safe use of gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and other transfer equipment

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of caregiving or CNA experience preferred
• Experience with Hoyer lifts and transfer assistance
• Personal care and hygiene assistance
• Range-of-motion exercises
• Foley catheter care
• Incontinence care
• Companionship and client engagement
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (preferred or required per state regulations)
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor
