Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Kirtland/Mentor, Ohio area
J ob Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Director of Quality Assurance to lead its quality function across multiple facilities. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for developing quality strategy, strengthening systems, and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Quality team and overall quality strategy
- Own the quality management system and maintain AS9100, ISO 9001 and related certifications
- Lead internal, customer and certification audits
- Drive corrective/preventive actions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to improve processes, quality and productivity
- Establish and monitor quality metrics and provide recommendations to senior leadership
- Ensure quality procedures, documentation and training are effectively maintained
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Technology or related technical field
- 7+ years of manufacturing quality experience
- Strong AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 experience
- Experience in a precision manufacturing environment preferred
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus
- Strong communication, problem-solving and customer-facing skills
