Patient Access Representative (PRN) Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers. The Patient Access Representative facilitates the patient referral process and obtains appropriate pre-certifications as requested by the provider(s). They are responsible for greeting patients; check-in, check-out, scheduling and managing telephones and messages. Collects and posts co-pays, deductibles and past due patient balances at the time of service. A Patient Access Representative (PAR) who excels in this role: Performs scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission and admission at the physician practice Performs reception and discharge functions. Accurately obtains complete and accurate patient demographic information. Performs proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques before, during and after date of service. Associate's degree is preferred. Additional requirements include: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
