Data Governance Specialist

BioPhase is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to support enterprise-wide data governance, quality, and compliance initiatives for a biotechnology company in San Diego. This role will partner cross-functionally with IT, operations, and business teams to help maintain accurate, secure, and accessible enterprise data. Strong preference for candidates who are comfortable working onsite in San Diego. Responsibilities: Support and maintain enterprise data governance standards, policies, and processes Help oversee data quality, metadata management, and data lifecycle activities Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data consistency and accessibility Assist with data lineage, stewardship, compliance, and reporting initiatives Support AI and large language model governance and documentation activities Help identify and elevate data quality or compliance issues as needed Qualifications: 3–5 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or related fields Experience with SQL, data modeling, and cloud or enterprise data environments preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or related field preferred Full-time opportunity Strong preference for onsite candidates in San Diego #J-18808-Ljbffr BioPhase
