Operations Coordinator | Part-Time | Ford Idaho Center

Position Summary The Operations Coordinator supports day‑to‑day operations and event setup at the Ford Idaho Center. The role assists with general labor tasks, event setup and teardown, facility maintenance, and show care to keep the venue safe, clean, and event‑ready. Works with the Operations Manager, Supervisors, and event staff to configure concerts, sporting events, trade shows, and community functions. Hourly rate: $16.00‑$17.00. About the Venue The Ford Idaho Center is a complex with three venues: Arena, Sports Center, and Horse Park, suitable for conventions, meetings, trade shows, sporting, social, and entertainment events. Responsibilities Oversee the operation of all event changeovers (basketball floor, stage risers, chairs, signs). Perform routine to moderate tasks maintaining livestock arena, exercise arena, stall barn, facility floors, chairs, staging, risers, and other inventory. Oversee housekeeping services for the facilities. Assign work activities, monitor workflow, and resolve operational issues. Maintain accurate record‑keeping for hazardous materials communication program. Interact with clients, serving needs within state and local laws; provide physical facility needs; perform custodial duties. Perform moderate to difficult set‑ups in livestock facilities and work around livestock. Operate machinery including forklifts, skid steers, tractors, and pickup trucks. Review, coordinate changeover work plan, maintenance, and operations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Superior interpersonal and strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to function in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment; handle multiple tasks; meet deadlines. Self‑motivated with strong leadership and organizational skills. Working knowledge of operational equipment: forklift, pallet jacks, scrubbers, floor buffers, mechanical lifting devices, staging, retractable seating risers, basketball floors. Ability to follow written instruction and interpret AutoCAD drawings and blueprints. Follow orders explicitly; capable of working as part of a team. Flexible schedule: early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended workdays. Forklift certification preferred.
