RN House Supervisor (PRN - Various Shift)

Overview Wellstar is seeking a Night Shift House Supervisor PRN to provide hospital-wide leadership across departments. The role focuses on compassionate service, excellence, and collaboration to support staff recruitment, retention, and quality patient care. This position is designated for the Magnet-designated Paulding campus and supports the shift structure and operational leadership when senior leadership is unavailable. Responsibilities Lead and manage operational functions to promote safe, quality care and effective teamwork across departments and divisions. Serve as a member of the leadership team and oversee hospital activities in the absence of the hospital president, administrators, and department directors. Coordinate clinical, financial, human, and material resources to meet patient care goals and site safety standards. Provide mentorship to department supervisors, assistant nurse managers, and charge nurses in the absence of traditional leadership. Model professional behavior and uphold hospital policies while promoting service excellence and positive staff engagement. Apply performance improvement methodology and Lean Six Sigma principles to improve outcomes and implement best practices. Maintain a culture of safety by ensuring regulatory and quality standards are upheld through data-driven decision making. Foster communication and collaboration with physicians, staff, patients, and families across care areas. Sponsor performance improvement initiatives and encourage continuous growth and accountability among staff. Ensure on-site command center readiness and lead emergency response activities as needed. Implement surge plans and manage patient flow to optimize throughput and capacity. Collaborate with system facilities to address capacity concerns and coordinate cross-site staffing and resources. Ensure efficient use of products, supplies, and equipment to support timely and safe patient care. Respond to hospital-wide Code calls and adhere to established protocols; participate in Rapid Response as applicable. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice and organizational standards.
