Rockmart Fuel Containment is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Electrician to join our Facilities Department at our Rockmart location. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our aerospace and defense manufacturing facility by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. This full-time, regular position is ideal for a mid-career professional who is looking to advance their career in a dynamic and innovative industry.The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to: interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams; conducting routine inspections of electrical systems; installing and maintaining wiring, control, and lighting systems; inspecting electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers; identifying electrical problems using a variety of testing devices; repairing or replacing wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools; following state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code; and directing and training workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You will be expected to manage your tasks efficiently without the need for travel, contributing to the overall success of Rockmart Fuel Containment operations.Requirements:Proven expertise in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and diagramsStrong knowledge of electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and repairProficiency with electrical testing devices and toolsAbility to identify and troubleshoot electrical problemsSkilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for electrical repairsUnderstanding of state and local building regulations, including the National Electric CodeExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and training skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to safety and knowledge of safety protocols and proceduresTime management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyMinimum of 2 years and up to 5 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in the aerospace or defense industryExperience with electrical maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environmentA track record of conducting routine inspections and performing preventative maintenanceHistory of working with electrical systems including wiring, control, and lighting systemsExperience inspecting electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakersDemonstrated ability to follow electrical code specifications and building regulationsExperience in directing and training staff on electrical system installations, maintenance, or repairsPrior experience in a role requiring minimal supervision and high levels of initiativeHigh School diploma or equivalent educational level with relevant technical trainingAny relevant certifications or licenses as an electrician are highly desirable
