Position Requirements

Part time CRNA opportunity with OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL, an eastern Illinois community with array of outdoor recreational options.

Description: The 174-bed OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center provides comprehensive healthcare for the community of Danville, IL, along with the nearby region. The OSF Sacred Heart facility is part of the OSF HealthCare system. This integrated healthcare network is operated by The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis based in Peoria, IL.

Case Assignments: General, OB, healthy peds, and bread and butter.

Shifts: Part time CRNA (less than 40 hours/week). CRNAs cover seven OB home-based calls per month.

Team Leadership: Matthew Walsh, MD, Senior Vice President.

Team Highlights: Five CRNAs and three anesthesiologists work together in a care team model. Our care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.

Responsibilities: Pre-anesthesia assessment, Obtains and/or verifies patient consent, Discusses anesthetic options and risks with the patient, Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, Performance of clinical intervention as needed.

Requirements: Current license as a registered professional nurse, Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education, Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.

Lifestyle: Danville, IL: Danville is the county seat of Vermilion County in eastern Illinois. The Vermilion River flows through it, and outdoor recreational pursuits are plentiful. These include horseback riding, canoeing, birdwatching, hiking, fishing, and ice skating. The city is home to the Danville Dans summer league baseball team. It also plays host to the National Junior College Athletic Association's Division II Men's Basketball Championship tournament.

Area Attractions: Kennekuk County Park, Vermilion County War Museum, Lamon House, Hot Air Balloon Festival, Middle Fork Scenic River.

Total Rewards: Salary: $240K for 1.0 FTE. Part-time salary will be prorated based on your FTE status. Full time call takers can earn up to $275K with call incentives. Sign on bonus: $100K (prorated based on FTE). Training assistance and loan repayment options are available. 8 weeks of paid time off (prorated based on FTE).
