NC FAST- Senior Oracle DBA

Job Summary (Senior Oracle DBA DHHS):
- Manage Oracle database instances on AWS/Linux for development, testing, and production environments.
- Lead schema design, database structure creation, and modifications per application requirements.
- Set up and maintain Oracle Data Guard, Exadata, and high availability/replication solutions (e.g., GoldenGate).
- Provide technical support, performance tuning, application administration, and consulting for Oracle databases.
- Develop and implement best practices and procedures for high-volume application systems and modernization initiatives.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure database security and integrity.
- Plan and allocate system storage, manage ASM, and forecast future storage needs.
- Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.
- Install, upgrade, and patch Oracle database software.
- Collaborate with application developers for data requirements, database design, and SQL/PLSQL development.
- Implement and manage cache and storage strategies.
- Author code in SQL and PL/SQL; demonstrate proficiency in shell scripting.
- Participate in on-call rotations and weekend support as required.
- Exhibit strong analytical, technical, time management, and communication skills.
