Job Description AECOM's Mechanical Engineering group is seeking a dynamic, talented Mechanical Engineer for immediate employment based in Tampa, FL. This position will work within the Building & Places (B+P) organization and provide engineering expertise in relation to Buildings, Facilities, or other structures. Key aspects of this position include: Leading design efforts of the mechanical systems from concept through construction across multi‑disciplinary teams, ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation. Collaborating with architects, engineers, vendors, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget. Preparing and delivering high‑quality drawings (AutoCAD and Revit), construction documents, specifications, reports and helping in cost estimates. Providing input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. Compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. Performing quality control review of design calculations and drawings. Participating in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Conducting site visits to document and evaluate mechanical systems. Qualifications BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within 1 year. AutoCAD and Revit professional experience. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of related mechanical engineering experience. Experience as a lead engineer on project design, with Federal experience beneficial.
