Rotating Shift: Food Service Worker

Pay: $17.00/hour, with a pay increase upon successful completion of training

Schedule: 3 days per week | 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM - 2 days per week | 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Availability: 3 days Tuesday-Thursday - 2 days Friday and Saturday - Off Sunday and Monday

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Food Service Worker to join a healthcare dining team. This role plays an important part in supporting patient care by preparing, assembling, and delivering meals while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in serving others.

• Prepare and assemble meals according to established dietary guidelines and menu requirements.
• Deliver meals and snacks accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with food preparation duties including portioning, stocking, and tray assembly.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, food service, and dining areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and food service equipment as needed.
• Follow food safety, infection control, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food handling practices.
• Restock supplies and assist with inventory organization.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Work collaboratively with dietary, nursing, and healthcare teams to meet patient needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

• Previous food service, dietary, restaurant, cafeteria, or healthcare food service experience preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Dependable attendance and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nokomis, FL.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
