Manufacturing Production Supervisor IIILocation: Denver, CO 80216Shifts:1st Shift: 6am to 2:30pm /2nd Shift: 2pm to 10:30pm /3rd Shift: 10pm to 6:30amDays: To be decided as management is currently developing a schedule. Associates may be required to work weekends, potentially at least one day each weekend. Interview: Candidates will have a panel interview. Is there a possibility this assignment will be extended? Yes Is there a possibility this assignment will convert to full time employment? YesPosition PurposeResponsible for the coordination of various manufacturing and warehouse functions within a single large, complex and fast paced production facility to drive maximum financial results and deliver a quality on-time product for customers.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, monitor, and ensure timely completion of plant goals/action plans, both short and long term.Utilize new technology and lean manufacturing principals and processes available to maximize efficiency.Promote development of cost saving initiatives.Develop a work environment within manufacturing that promotes trust, teamwork quality and safety.Ensure production of a quality product in compliance with Safeway, Federal and State guidelines.Ensure regulatory compliance as appropriate (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, Etc.)Minimum Qualifications2 or more years of leadership experience in a production environment1 of more years' experience working with Lean Manufacturing principlesPreferred QualificationsStrong leadership background – ability to direct a diverse unionized workforceAbility to manage and develop employeesAvailability – willingness to work hours and holidaysStrong skills Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
