Location: Hanscom AFB, MA | Duration: 6 months | Pay Rate: $36.00 - $37.50/hr (W2)
Join a vital IT support team at Hanscom Air Force Base as a Help Desk Specialist. Utilize your technical expertise to deliver exceptional phone and in-person support to users, assisting with essential systems and contract-based applications. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to mission-critical operations in a secure and collaborative environment. Responsibilities - Provide responsive technical support for email, directories, standard Windows desktop applications, and custom contract applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user issues both over the phone and face-to-face.
- Document user interactions and problem resolutions for continuous improvement.
- Maintain user satisfaction through professional communication and technical knowledge.
- Ensure all security protocols and procedures are followed in a classified environment. Required Skills and Experience - Active SECRET clearance.
- IAT-2 certification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in help desk or technical support roles.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in troubleshooting Windows desktop environments and standard applications.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills - Experience supporting government or DoD users.
- Familiarity with contract-specific application support.
