Preschool Teacher Assistant

Job Description

Job Description

First Impressions Early Childhood Learning Center

Some days in preschool involve painting, building, exploring, and asking a hundred questions. Other days bring a little chaos, lots of laughter, and the challenge of turning an unexpected moment into a learning opportunity.

That's what makes early childhood education so special!

At First Impressions, we believe preschool should encourage children to explore, ask questions, make mistakes, and discover new things. We also believe the teachers who make that happen deserve support, appreciation, and a sense of being part of a team.

We're looking for a Preschool Assistant Teacher to join us!

We're hoping to find someone who:

• Enjoys working with young children and understands that learning doesn't always look like sitting at a table.
• Is patient, dependable, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
• Can embrace a little mess, changing plans, and the occasional preschool silliness.
• Works well with others and values communication and teamwork.
• Wants to learn, grow, and make a difference in children's early years.

What makes First Impressions different?

We're more than a place where children spend their day. Our classrooms focus on hands-on experiences, meaningful relationships, and developmentally appropriate learning. We value creativity, collaboration, continued professional development, and giving our teachers the tools and support they need to succeed.

You don't need to have all the answers. You just need to be willing to learn, work as part of a team, and genuinely enjoy helping children grow.

Some Responsibilities Include:

• Support classroom activities and assist with play-based lessons.
• Supervise preschool-aged children and monitor their safety.
• Prepare materials and activities for daily learning experiences.
• Provide positive behavior guidance.
• Communicate with parents and families as appropriate.
• Track attendance accurately.
• Maintain classroom organization and readiness.
