Shift and Schedule: This position supports the Spartanburg team and works Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility to provide additional coverage outside of scheduled hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required as needed.

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist provides technical safety, health, and environmental support across the facility. This role partners with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, IT, Finance, Facilities, and Manufacturing teams to drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company standards.

The EHS Specialist will support the implementation of safety policies, procedures, training programs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives while promoting employee engagement and accountability in workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety, health, and environmental programs and policies to ensure OSHA and EPA compliance

  • Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions and control measures

  • Assist with accident investigations, safety inspections, and compliance audits while driving timely corrective actions

  • Promote employee involvement in safety initiatives and at-risk behavior prevention

  • Conduct regular facility inspections and environmental audits

  • Deliver instructor-led safety and environmental training programs

  • Develop site-specific safety training materials, lesson plans, and documentation

  • Monitor and communicate safety performance metrics, trends, and compliance data

  • Maintain organized and accurate safety and environmental records

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, ergonomics, and environmental compliance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards

  • Partner cross-functionally to support plant-wide EHS initiatives

  • Follow all Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Total Rewards:

  • Targeted annual compensation range of $72,000 - $87,000.

  • This is a salaried, exempt position paid biweekly. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and applicable collective bargaining agreements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Physical Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered

  • 1-3 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety program implementation, preferably within a manufacturing environment

  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations

  • Experience developing and maintaining compliance programs preferred

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Experience conducting safety training and developing lesson plans preferred

  • Knowledge of ergonomic solutions in a manufacturing setting preferred

  • Strong communication, organizational, and technical writing skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence a positive safety culture throughout the facility
