Responsible for company-wide nurse education including nurse orientation and competency evaluations annual nurse competencies infusion education BLS certifications and other ongoing education and in-services as needed. Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Saturdays as needed. Minimum Qualifications:

• A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state(s) of practice.
• CRNI within 3 years of job acceptance.
• BLS Instructor Certification.
• 3 years of experience in the home and/or clinic infusion settings and/or nurse educator experience.
• Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook Word Excel).
• Ability to cope with ambiguous changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
• Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.

Essential Functions:

• Develops an orientation plan for nurses and coordinates the educational plan with Nurse Managers.
• Has excellent interpersonal skills in handling interactions with Palmetto Infusion staff other agencies patients and families.
• Conducts annual competency skill evaluations as well as competency skill evaluations of new nurses.
• Provides Basic Life Support education for Palmetto infusion staff.
• Demonstrates knowledge of INS Standards of Nursing Practice.
• Provides effective communication so all staff are aware of current and future practices/ patient procedures at Palmetto Infusion.
• Coordinates/provides education for all nursing staff related to new drug therapies supplies and equipment.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to frequently stand walk sit bend twist talk and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting keyboarding reading as well as driving or riding in transport vehicles. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading distance computer and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients vendors and staff.
