Electrical Engineer III

Calpine Corporation seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer III to support reliable, lower-carbon power generation across its natural gas and geothermal fleet. In this role, you will design, analyze, and optimize plant electrical systems, including high, medium, and low voltage equipment, protection and control schemes, and grid interconnections. You will perform power system studies, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead improvements that enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency. Partnering closely with operations, maintenance, and project teams, you will develop technical specifications, support capital projects from concept through commissioning, and ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NERC, and corporate standards.
