Quality Engineer, High-Reliability Medical + Defense Manufacturing (ISO 9001, PPAP, Full QMS Scope)

Full-time

Pave Talent

, : , , , .

This equipment powers medical devices, robotics, and defense systems. The customer list is why the quality bar is high, and why this seat carries real weight.

Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, a growing US manufacturer of high-reliability power and energy products for medical, robotics, industrial, and defense applications. Their US production site is newer and expanding, and quality is scaling with it.

- Quality engineers who want the whole toolkit, from launch documentation to supplier corrective actions, not one narrow lane

- People who like the production floor: training operators, auditing lines, chasing root cause where the work happens

- Organized self-starters who keep their footing when priorities shift daily

If you prefer a specialized lane inside a large quality department, this is not your role.

You'll report to the Quality Manager and work side by side with the production team as the hands-on quality engineer for the site. The breadth is the draw: one role touching new product launches, supplier quality, investigations, audits, and nonconforming material decisions. That range builds a senior quality engineer's resume faster than a specialized seat.

'

- Write and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), control plans, and process failure mode and effects analyses (PFMEAs), and train production teams on them

- Drive the production part approval process (PPAP) for new product introductions, from documentation through validation and approval

- Lead root cause investigations using 8D, fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, and Pareto analysis, and close out corrective actions

- Manage supplier quality through supplier corrective action requests (SCARs): detailed defect reports, root cause follow-through, and verification

- Develop and run incoming inspection, calibration, line validations, and process audits against International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001

- Lead material review board (MRB) review and disposition of nonconforming product

- Turn quality data into clear metrics and recommendations for management, primarily in Excel with pivot tables and charts

:

- 2 to 4 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment

- Hands-on measurement and visual inspection skills

- Statistical data analysis in Excel, including pivot tables and charts

- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and practices

- Organized, detail-driven, and steady under deadlines

:

- Validation knowledge for installation, operational, and performance qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ)

- ISO 9001 auditing experience or auditor certification

- Background in battery or energy storage manufacturing

: $70,000 to $80,000, placed by experience

: Full-time, on-site

: Full details shared on our first call
