Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and under physician direction.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions effectively, ensuring the plan of care is communicated, progressed, and aligned with established discharge goals throughout the length of stay.
• Complete all medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including daily notes, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
• Coordinate discharge planning activities including equipment trialing and ordering, patient and family training, home exercise program issuance, and planning for continuing services.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
• Actively engage in professional development through continuing education, self-study, and involvement in professional organizations and community advocacy efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Missouri.
• Adherence to the state Physical Therapy Practice Act and all applicable regulatory agency requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop clinically reasoned treatment plans.
• Competency in medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
• Commitment to patient and employee safety standards including safe patient handling and infection control practices.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an inpatient rehabilitation or acute care hospital setting.
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration and discharge planning processes.
• Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students in a clinical setting.
